Don’t lose out – get your NCS summer programme place now!

Area Coordinators from the National Citizen Service (NCS), delivered by Inspira, came into West Lakes Academy in November to talk to Year 11 about this extraordinary summer programme.

We are encouraging everyone in Year 11 to participate in the four week programme as it helps to build their confidence and gain new skills.

Whether they’re about to start sixth form or college, or preparing to enter the working world through an apprenticeship or traineeship, signing up to NCS is one of the best decisions a teenager can make.

Government backing means that it costs just £50 (or less) to take part which covers all activities and residential costs. Bursaries are available on a case by case basis and support is provided for young people with additional needs.

Places are available on NCS Programmes in West Cumbria on numerous dates across the summer between 25th June and 6th August 2017.
