Principal’s Learner of the Week

Maisie Naylor (12WS) is the Principal’s Learner of the Week. Miss Relph said in her nomination: “I would like to nominate Maisie for being an outstanding leader. She is everything we want from all of our students: selfless, hardworking and kind to others. She supports my literacy group on a Thursday morning and they all love her being part of their lesson. She supports, guides and helps all of the students and nothing is ever too much trouble. She goes out of her way to make sure all of the students understand the phonemes they are working on and helps them to implement their learning in their work. This is difficult for this group but she tailors all activities to individuals making sure their needs are addressed. Every week I am really overwhelmed by Maisie’s attitude and dedication to improve younger students’ learning at WLA. Mr Tebay has also nominated Maisie before for working with this group.”

Well done to all those nominated this week:
