This year (2012) West Lakes Academy celebrated outstanding A Level results and its best ever set of GCSEs.
The pass rate in A Levels was over 99 per cent meaning overwhelming success for almost all sixth form pupils. In GCSEs, this year’s results broke records for the Academy with 57 per cent of students receiving five GCSEs at A* to C including English and maths. These results marked an increase of 12 per cent on last’s year’s figures, despite many schools figures going down this year. Meanwhile, a fantastic 98 per cent of pupils achieved five GCSEs at A* to C excluding English and maths, highlighting the importance of success for all pupils at West Lakes Academy.
