Cover Supervisor

Permanent, full time, term-time only (40 weeks per year), 37 hours per week. £15,813 – £17,508 per annum pro rata from a full time, full year salary of £17,799 to £19,706 per annum.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor with excellent communication skills to join our team. You will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of staff and be required to deliver set work, supervise and manage the behaviour of classes in line with the school policy.  You also be expected to establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.

You will have:

  • GCSE or equivalent, A* – C, in English and Maths.
  • Relevant NVQ3, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience relevant to the post applied for.
  • An understanding of practices and procedures within education is essential.

Attendance and Welfare Officer

Permanent, term time, 40 weeks per year, 30 hours per week (variations to part time hours would also be considered). Starting salary £19,013 with potential to progress to £21,049 per annum.  This salary is pro rata from a full year, full time equivalent of £26,395 to £29,221 per annum.

You will promote and devise whole academy attendance strategies and work to reduce levels of absence. This role will support all students to ensure they access their learning.  You will promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, and raise aspirations to help students achieve their full potential. The Attendance and Welfare Officer will work with the local authority, external agencies and academy staff to improve academy attendance figures and to change lives through learning.

Essential requirements include:

  • Relevant NVQ 4 or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare, safety and education of pupils.

Experience of working with pupils of relevant age in a school setting is desirable.

Midday Supervisor

Required as soon as possible, 5 hours per week, 12.40 pm to 1.40 pm, term time only (40 weeks), £7.50 per hour.

We require an additional midday supervisor to join our team who take responsibility for the pupils’ welfare, safety and supervision during the lunch break. A current First Aid Certificate and experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.

Adult Education Tutor – English Language GCSE

Delivering GCSE English Language to support the initiative to improve the skills in the community

Must have significant qualification/experience in delivering level 2 English and up to date subject knowledge and familiar with appropriate awarding body requirements.
