What is the Catch Up Fund Grant?
“The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2.” DfE
The academy receives an extra £500 for each Year 7 student who has not achieved at least a scaled score of 100 in English and/or maths at Key Stage 2. For 2016/17 the total Catch Up Grant fund is £8167

- Determine which interventions are having the most impact on our students.
- Revise provision for those students furthest away from the secondary standard.
- Broaden the range of research on which we base our interventions.
- Specifically tailor and target interventions for individual ‘Catch-Up’ students.
